Meet Our Team

At Midland Plant & Construction, our team brings together decades of experience across plant hire, construction, home improvements, repairs, and interiors. Team and about pages in the construction and plant sectors typically work best when they highlight experience, responsibility, and the practical value each person brings to clients and projects.

We believe good service comes from knowledgeable people, clear communication, and a hands-on approach from start to finish. That same people-first approach is also important in interiors and home staging, where presentation, organisation, and attention to detail can make a real difference to project outcomes and property appeal.

Andrew Goldthorpe

Andrew Goldthorpe founded the business in January 2002 after spending six years working for one of the largest plant hire companies in the UK. With that experience behind him, he made the decision to go it alone and build a company based on reliability, service, and industry knowledge.

Since establishing the business, Andrew has focused on delivering dependable plant hire and practical support for customers who value honest service and a team that keeps its word. In UK plant hire, experience, equipment knowledge, and trust are core qualities that strongly shape customer confidence.

Neil Moorhouse

Neil Moorhouse brings 20 years of building experience to the team and heads up our construction projects. His role covers the day-to-day oversight of renovation work, building projects, and the coordination needed to keep jobs moving efficiently from start to finish.

With extensive construction knowledge and a practical approach to problem-solving, Neil helps ensure each project is managed with care, professionalism, and attention to detail. Construction service pages commonly emphasise leadership, site coordination, and experience as key strengths for project delivery.

Judi Briggs

Judi Briggs plays a key role in keeping both the office and our projects running efficiently. Strong administration and project coordination are essential in service-led construction and property businesses, where clear communication and organisation support the customer experience as much as the work on site.

From helping manage day-to-day operations to supporting the smooth running of projects, Judi helps keep everything organised behind the scenes. Her role is central to maintaining the reliable and responsive service clients expect.

Matthew Copeland

Matthew Copeland is a qualified electrician and gas engineer who oversees our repairs and home improvements team. His experience supports a wide range of works, from essential repairs to upgrade projects that improve how homes look, feel, and function.

He helps manage the practical side of home improvements, ensuring jobs are completed to a high standard and aligned with the needs of each client. Home improvement services in the UK often combine technical trades with broader upgrade and refurbishment work, especially in kitchens, bathrooms, repairs, and finishing projects.

Alison Copeland

Matthew is joined by his wife, Alison, who has a real eye for detail and manages interior decorating and styling for clients. Interior styling and presentation services are commonly used to improve how a space feels day to day, while also helping homes look more appealing and market-ready.

Alison also specialises in home staging for clients preparing to sell, helping present properties in the best possible light. Professional staging and styling services are widely promoted in the UK as a way to improve presentation, attract stronger buyer interest, and support a faster sale.
